A quest will pop up for each DLC when you hit certain level thresholds. These thresholds should be considered a reasonable minimum level for you to do these DLCs. So, for example, Nuka-World's quest will pop up at level 30. The exception to this is Far Harbor, the quest for which pops up after you rescue Nick. DLCs like The Pitt and Point Lookout were damn good fun, Broken Steel was just a 10 dollar game fix that was pretty necessary, and DLCs like Operation Anchorage and Mothership Zeta were straight up awful on all accounts. Overall, a very flawed but nonetheless good Fallout game, and a good entry in the series. -1. I have both the regular Fallout 3 (with all the separate DLC) and Fallout 3 Game of the year in my library My question is if anyone know how it works if you just install Fallout 3 without the DLC:s enabled (checked) in the properties and then add them in later? I might be in the vast minority but I often like to play games as "bare bones" without DLC at first and then add in the DLC later one
GeoMaggs 13 years ago #4. You don't loose your stuff in Point Lookout. You can, however, loose your stuff in The Pitt, and MZ if you forget to pick them up. I'm not too sure you really can forget MZ, though. I almost forgot The Pitt, however. I did read that the chest it's in respawns/disappears once you leave the DLC.
I went with the order they were released: Operation Anchorage: gives you the best armor in the game. The Pitt: gives some of the best Melee weapons. Broken Steel: Completing the first two DLC's makes this very easy. Point Lookout: after broken steel because the enemies are tough. Takedown request View complete answer on reddit.com. Yhwach May 1, 2017 @ 2:34am. If you beat the main campaign then the game is over, and you're sent back to the main menu; you can't play after the game unless you get CAGE or something. You can play the dlc's whenever, even at the beginning but it's best to do so when you choose a faction. Here's the order of story importance, since the dlc's
Start them around level 15 or 20. Do not do Operation Anchorage early. It gives you the best set of armor if you don't have the Unofficial Patch, which can ruin game progression. The order doesn't matter as they're all separate from each other.
